Non Slip Dog Socks - Power Paws
Dogs paws slipping on hardwood floors? Is your senior dog having trouble getting
traction on slick floors? Looking to protect your floors from scratches cause
by your dogs nails?
We have a great solution - Power Paws!
We just came across this product and think it is a great solution for helping
dog who are having problems with paws slipping on the floor.

What are Power Paws?
They are socks with a rubber bottom, giving extra traction to help your dog.
They come 4 socks to a package. You can use all four or just use 2 for your
dogs back paws.
For dogs who slip on floors. If your young, middle-aged or aging dog runs through
the house and skids on your floors, you should put Power Paws on all four feet.
This is also useful for dogs that have lost the confidence to walk on hardwood.
Power Paws make movement easier, increasing your pet’s quality of life.
To protect wounds on paws , just put one Power Paw sock on the injured paw,
or on all four paws for consistency. Power Paws are so soft and comfortable,
dogs tend to leave them (and the affected foot) alone.
You may be able to remove the e-collar from your dog’s head – a
benefit for dog and owner! Several vets and pet owners have achieved favorable
results.
To help prevent your dog from slipping in moving vehicles, mobile homes, RVs
and boats, Power Paws help to give dogs stability and grip. On a boat, they
also protect the teak floors from scratches.

Wearing Power Paws
Did I order the right size?
Looks can be deceiving! The product you order may appear to be too small for
your dog. Despite the appearance, please try one on. You may be surprised at
the amount they stretch.
If the size is right, Power Paws will stay on when playing, climbing stairs,
walking, etc. A proper fit is a snug, stretched sock allowing the elastic
to hold the sock in place. To be sure, even if it looks tight, if you can put
a finger in the sock, they are not too tight and the fit is good. If the sock
is too small, you will not be able to get it on. If the sock is too large, it
will rotate (so the grip rolls to the side or top of the sock), or it may fall
off completely.

Will the Power Paws stay on?
Absolutely, if they are the right size! The cotton material was chosen for comfort.
The elastic ensures a snug, custom fit that stays on. Because Power Paws are
so comfortable, dogs generally do not try to take Power Paws off. Note: Greyhound
breeds and poodles have physically different feet. We can work with you now
to find a size that may work, but in the future, we will offer a size made just
for their feet – please contact us if your dog is a Greyhound breed or
a poodle.
Is it normal for a dog to shake his paws or stand motionless when the
Power Paws are first put on?
For many dogs, yes. If your dog is not used to having socks or shoes on his
feet, he may react this way. It is temporary! Most dogs adapt to Power Paws
within minutes. We suggest calling him to come or throwing a favorite toy to
encourage movement. Dogs learn quickly, especially if Power Paws are needed
for traction or mobility, that Power Paws = mobility!
Washing & Care Instructions
You may find that with the new mobility your pet has while wearing Power Paws,
he or she won’t stop at the door long enough for you to remove them before
venturing outside! You may also choose to take your dog outside in the Power
Paws (for protection in the snow, salt, heat, or as a layer of protection against
pollen, dust, grass, and other allergens). When your Power Paws get dirty or
wet, just throw them in the washer!
Power Paws can be washed just like clothes. We recommend permanent press or
gentle (hand wash) cycle with cold water to avoid shrinkage. Dry on low or medium
heat, and your Power Paws will come out clean and good as new.
If you are trying to shrink your Power Paws just a bit for a better or custom
fit, wash them in warm water, then dry them on low heat.
How Long Do Power Paws Last?
A set of Power Paws can be worn daily for several months without any problem.
They can be washed and dried many times (we suggest permanent press or delicate
cycle with cold water, and drying on low heat). See our Washing & Care instructions
above. Power Paws worn outside may need to be replaced every couple months.
Many dog owners feel strongly that if their pet is comfortable, and their feet
are protected, it’s worth it to replace them a little sooner!
Using Power Paws Outside
Outdoor use is not covered under our standard warranty, however, Power Paws
are proving very valuable in hot and cold outdoor conditions. They will, of
course, get dirty faster, and they may wear out faster, but for many people,
using Power Paws outdoors can be quite beneficial! |
