Nzymes Ox-E-Drops are a safe and stable compound which offers
many internal and topical uses. It is a powerful oxidizing substance which can
act as a bactericide, viricide and fungicide. Ingested, NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops
releases precursors which assist the body in the removal of dangerous free radicals.
NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops helps to increase the efficiency of enzymes involved
in oxidation of foreign material in the body such as viruses.
NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops is very alkaline, and can therefore
help to neutralize stomach acid for those who suffer with Acid Reflux. It may
help digestion and colon flora and may increase energy and endurance.
COMMON USES
Used internally and topically against pathogenic bacteria, fungi and viruses.
Used to treat water by glass or gallon; (great for campers and motorhomes);
used in vaporizers; used for camping and Int'l. travel; used to disinfect surfaces;
used to deodorize.
Directions:
Mix the Ox-E-Drops concentrate with 1 teaspoon of water and
add to the pet’s food twice daily. We suggest to also add 1 to 2 drops
in a pet’s water dish each time it is filled to help prevent mold and
bacteria, especially when traveling away from your community.
Cleaning Pet Ears: Rinse or spray the ear canal
with the 2% solution or saturate a cotton ball and wipe the ear canal thoroughly.
Afterwards wipe the ear canal dry with a soft tissue or cotton. For more severe
ear problems do this 2-3 times daily for the first 4-5 days; then once or twice
weekly thereafter to maintain.
Eyedrops: Apply the diluted 2% solution 2-3
times daily with eye-dropper.
NOTE: Use distilled water for this 2% mixture.
PREPARING A 2% TOPICAL SOLUTION
Mix 1 teaspoon of Ox-E-Drops concentrate (80 drops) with 8 ozs. of filtered
water (1 cup) distilled water preferred.
**Store this mixture away from direct sunlight.
For most topical purposes a 2% solution is adequate.
WARNING: KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN!
Using Ox-E-Drops at full strength will cause a mild alkaline burn on the skin.
If undiluted contact occurs, flush the area thoroughly with water.
TWO PRECAUTIONS:
1.) Do NOT Apply Undiluted to Skin, Eyes or Mucous Membranes! The only exception
would be to apply a drop to a cotton swab or Q-tip and use it one (1) drop at
a time for warts, bee stings, nail fungus, Insect bites, etc.
2). The Concentrated Solution Will Bleach!
Be very careful with respect to clothing and other fabrics. If a spill occurs,
flood the area immediately with water and soak up with absorbent material.
SPILLAGE : Flush area with water. If in contact
with clothing or other material, saturate with water and blot with absorbent
paper as OX-E-Drops has bleaching properties.
SKIN : Flush with water. Concentrate is irritating
to skin.
EYES : Flush with water for 10 minutes. See
a physician if pain or stinging persists.
ORAL : If swallowed in concentrate form, immediately
drink large amounts of water
(1 quart to 1/2 gallon). If nausea persists, see a physician.
WHAT MAKES Ox-E-DROPS SO EFFECTIVE?
Lets look at the chemistry involved with NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops. In either topical
or internal use, it can act as a non-specific biocide. The chlorite ion, a major
constituent of NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops, and one of its reaction products chlorine
dioxide, are extremely effective , bactericides, fungicides and virucides.
Does The Chlorite Ion Fight Pathogenic Microorganisms
In The Body?
Yes, the chlorite ion is biocidal, yet less toxic than chlorine dioxide since
it is a less powerful oxidant in the ionic form. At the pH of the stomach (pH
3-4) one can expect chlorine dioxide (NOT Free Chlorine) to be produced from
the chlorite ions. This will be a transient phenomenon, ultimately yielding
chlorite ions, again, which will be absorbed by the body, passed through the
lower gastrointestinal tract, and excreted by the kidneys. If a substantial
dose of the NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops has been taken, one could hypothesize that
the chlorite ions and chlorine dioxide would act against ANY pathogenic microorganism
in the body.
Does The Chlorite Ion Interact With Enzymes?
Yes it does! In fact, another potential mechanism of the NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops
involves utilization of chlorite by cells, particularly leukocytes, as a substrate
to increase the efficiency of a group of enzymes know as peroxidases. These
enzymes are an important component in the immune system since they are involved
in the oxidation of foreign material (e.g., virus). There are two interesting
outcomes of chlorite utilization by these enzymes. The first is that the immune
system may be directly enhanced by the increased rate of oxidation of foreign
material by the leukocytes. The second result is an increased ability by all
metabolically active cells to scavenge free radicals. The latter result is interesting
in light of some contemporary theories attributing the cause of disease, debilitating
aspects of aging and onset of cancer to excessive levels of free radicals. The
source of free radicals may be environmental (e.g., UV radiation) or metabolic
(e.g., H2O2).
Does Chlorine Dioxide Fight Bacteria?
Chlorine dioxide is a highly effective, environmentally friendly microbiocide.
Chlorine dioxide penetrates the cell wall of pathogenic microorganisms and disrupts
metabolic functions. Many pathogenic bacteria (e.g., salmonella and E. coli)
contain an enzyme known as a “Respiratory Nitrate Reductase”. When
chlorine dioxide penetrates the bacteria it disrupts this enzyme and kills the
harmful bacteria. Beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract lack respiratory
nitrate reductase enzyme, so the chlorine dioxide does not affect them.
