Dog elbow hydroma's, are the bane of many large breed dogs. The classical presentation of the “elbow hygroma,” the body’s response to chronic trauma to the point of the dogs elbow, is a fluid-filled swelling at the point of one or both canine elbows.

In more common terms, the dog is lying down on a hard surface and the point of the elbow bone is traumatizing the soft tissue covering it. Normally a callus will develop to protect a bony prominence, such as the elbow, but if the trauma to the area is excessive, the inflammation caused by the trauma overcomes the new callus and a fluid pocket forms.

The Standard Length Adjustable DogLeggs are the perfect solution to provide some relief to your dogs elbows. Standard Length Adjustable DogLeggs provide three-way adjustment of the garment:

1. adjustment around the leg at point of your dogs elbow
2. adjustment around leg below point of your dogs elbow
3. adjustment, over the back, accros the top of your dogs shoulders..

Adjustable DogLeggs are recommended for:

* Hygromas – Adjustable DogLeggs treat the cause of the hygroma, not just the symptom (the hygroma) (Inflammatory swellings of the subcutaneous bursae (acquired bursitis))

DogLeggs are perfect in cases where one or both of the dogs elbows are significantly swollen or the dogs elbow is bandaged.

Adjustable DogLeggs allow for snugging of the garment as the dogs elbow heals.
