This dog cone alternative is the first patented adjustable restraining system. The NBT® can be custom cut to meet any pet size requirement. NBT® is weatherproof, washable and lightweight. The exterior is made of a soft loop material with a hook strap for easy adjustments.

The interior is made of an environmentally safe foam insulation with slotted grooves, allowing the caregiver the ability to custom fit the brace to the desired length and circumference. What size do I need for my pet?

The "collar" comes in a flat sheet of 12" X 28" non-toxic ribbed foam that can be cut down into a variety of custom sizes to fit just about any pet. A soft backing and velcro make the collar easy to attach and remove.

Custom cut a brace to fit dogs with necks up to 27" in diameter! Perfect for those of us with Great Danes or Mastiffs!

You might look at this at first and think "what the heck am I supposed to do with this?" Using your scissors you can make a splint, a wound covering, a neck brace to keep them from getting at wounds or whatever else you can think of. All from one 12" x 28" piece!

Will this collar work if my pet has an injury on his/her paw?

SPECIAL NOTE: All dogs are different when it comes to flexibility or the length of their legs. If you fabricate a cardboard cone, you can test whether your dog can reach the injured area. If you are making this purchase in preparation for a planned operation, try using the cardboard cone and putting some peanut butter on the paw or area you are trying to protect. If your pet can still reach the area, you will be better served by one of our other styles of cone.

Can I wash the Dog cone alternative?

The Dog cone alternative easily washes with soap and water or mild disinfectant. It can be submersed in water. Strong disinfectants or bleach should not be applied on the backing material, but soap or mild disinfectants may be used. After the dog cone alternative is washed, allow it to dry 30 minutes prior to reuse. It can be washed in a washing machine. Remove the hook and loop tape and place in a laundry bag. Close the bag and insert into the washer by itself or with other items. After it is washed allow it to air dry.

My pet still gets out of the brace-what can I do?

Stubborn and strong pets require applying the hook and loop tape vertically to the opening and not parallel to it or double wrap the brace. This will require 2-3 times more hook and loop tape. Also, surgical tape wrapped around the brace will work.
